Mission
The Bronx Jewish Bar Association is dedicated to safeguarding Jewish identity, values, and legal rights in a post–October 7, 2023 world, confronting antisemitism, and defending the Jewish people through the rule of law. We strive to ensure that the ethical principles rooted in Judaic tradition inform public discourse, civil liberties, and legal practice. In that spirit, we commit ourselves to advocacy - urging greater Jewish representation on the bench, supporting qualified Jewish candidates for judicial office, and promoting merit‑based pathways for Jewish lawyers to attain positions of influence in courts and public institutions.
We also exist to strengthen and uplift the Jewish legal and broader community through mutual care, support, and professional fellowship. We will sponsor educational programs, networking forums, mentorship initiatives, and legal clinics that serve both Jewish populations and the public at large. Through those efforts, we seek to foster a culture of solidarity, resilience, and communal responsibility.
Above all, the Bronx Jewish Bar Association aspires to be a guiding voice - principled, courageous, inclusive - that bridges law and faith. We will engage in coalition work, interfaith dialogue, and public outreach to advance justice, combat bigotry, and uphold dignity for all, while preserving the unique heritage and continuity of the Jewish people.
